ABOUT US

By TD Studio

We are Kintsu

Our story begins with a simple idea: every coffee bean carries a journey worth telling—raw, honest, unfiltered. Like in Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, we see beauty in process, time-worn paths, and the stories that make something whole, even if not flawless.

We create what we call future classics: coffees that stay true to their origin, live boldly in the present, and look forward with clarity. We draw inspiration from music, architecture, science and people who challenge norms.

So, we chose values over trends, relationships over transactions, and quality over shortcuts.

Roasting Philosophy

We roast the coffee we love. A hedonic process for us, an enjoyable experience for you.

We roast the coffee we love. A hedonic process for us, an enjoyable experience for you.

We roast in small batches, and every single roast goes through a strict quality control protocol before it reaches the shelves, ready to be shipped to you.

Each coffee is tested daily using a recipe we carefully developed before introducing the lot into our offer. We stick to this protocol every day to observe how the coffee evolves and to determine the optimal moment for enjoying it.

Through this process, we’ve discovered that, based on our roasting style, all our lots perform consistently between day 7 and day 30. That’s why most of our coffees are shipped to you during this window.

You’ll never receive two different roasting dates within this timeframe, and we’ll never send out coffee that’s older than 30 days. We don’t believe in a fixed “aging” period for specialty coffee—what matters is the approach and philosophy behind it.

If you trust our process, give it a try. We’re confident you won’t be disappointed. But if you are, we’d love to hear your feedback.
