a festival that felt like the right place to show up
Coffeeast 2026 was the first festival where we brought Kintsu – because this event simply made sense for us.
The energy, the people, the conversations, the curiosity around coffee… everything aligned with the way we like to work and the way we like to share what we roast.
For us, it felt less like a debut and more like stepping into a space where our coffees already belonged. It’s also true that our boys have been around festivals before – their experience made everything smoother, calmer, and far more relaxed than a “first time” usually sounds.
three days, six origins and a few hundred filters
Across the festival, we brewed a few hundred filters featuring six coffees from our Future Classic lineup — origins we love and believe will define our direction moving forward:
- Peru Eli Espinoza – Gesha | Future Classic No. 16
- El Salvador Finca Etiopia – SL28 | Future Classic No. 15
- Kenya Gitare – SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, Batian | Future Classic No. 13
- Ethiopia Taferi Kela – JARC Varieties | Future Classic No. 08
- Ecuador Mario Hervas | Future Classic No. 18
- Columbia Yiver Vargas | Future Classic No. 17
These coffees come from producers we trust and reflect the kind of profiles we’re drawn to: clean, floral, fruit‑driven cups that fit perfectly with our roaster’s taste and roasting style.

A standout moment for us was seeing Peru Eli Espinoza – Gesha take 2nd place in the roasting competition (washed profiles).
A small but meaningful confirmation that the work behind this coffee is on the right track.
espresso that spoke for itself
At the Carrousel Bar, we pulled espresso using the same Peru Eli Espinoza – Gesha.
It delivered exactly what we hoped for: a clean, balanced cup with sweetness and structure. Visitors noticed. And we loved seeing that.

kintsu & friends: people who know our coffees and our crowd
For part of the festival, we shared the stand with our friends from Baristro and Pepper’s.
They know our coffees, they know the Bucharest audience and they brought a familiar spark that made the stand feel alive. aving them with us, even briefly, added a small layer of connection.
meeting people, sharing cups, exchanging thoughts
One of the best parts of Coffeeast was the people. We met home brewers, professionals, curious newcomers and long‑time specialty coffee fans.
We received thoughtful feedback, honest impressions, and a lot of appreciation — all of it welcome.
To everyone who stopped by: thank you.

good coffee, good atmosphere
We tasted great coffees from the roasters around us, enjoyed the festival rhythm, and felt part of a community that makes things happen.
Coffeeast, thank you for hosting us & see you next year. Stay wonderful.
